Date: Monday 14 August
Location: Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery

The SOOS Symposium aims to provide opportunities for early career researchers (ECRs) build a network of Southern Ocean colleagues, promote their research to the wider Southern Ocean community, improve their research experience and skills, and receive mentorship from established researchers. One of the initiatives of the SOOS Symposium is a dedicated networking event for ECRs with invited established researchers proudly sponsored by the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG). Through this event, ECRs will be provided a unique opportunity to network with established delegates from which they can further develop potential future collaborations and employment prospects through the remainder of the Symposium. The SOOS Symposium Early Career Networking Event will encourage networking through the exploration of some of TMAG’s Tasmanian focused galleries, drinks and icebreaker activities.

All Early Career Researchers will be provided 2 tickets to attend the Early Career Networking Event at registration on the Monday morning of the Symposium. One ticket is for themselves and one for an invited guest to join them.
